Walked .3 miles from the Holiday Inn hotel I was staying at for business to Lina's based on its proximity to my hotel, high Yelp rating and number of ratings (56).
Myself and two co-workers ordered 3x combination plates (#5, 6, 15) at 1pm on a Wednesday afternoon.
We received our food within seven minutes, The ingredients were fresh and the quality was high.
The staff were friendly and responsive.
I asked for a metal fork and found out they didn't have any metal silverware available.
Very nondescript store front - you could definitely drive by this place!
The time and money they didn't put into the outside of the building they put into their food and customer service!

It's a fast food Mexican restaurant that is several notches about taco bell and opens 24 hours. How could you hate that idea especially when leaving the bars at night and just crave that greasy food you know you that the diet you worked so hard following just would all go downhill making poor choices at 2 in the morning.
With that being said, Lina's is here for you and I must say it's better than Abelardo's in my opinion. Their meat is well seasoned and a really nice serving so thank you carbs, fat, proteins to counter act all of the bad decisions I made between 9pm-2am. Not only is it good for after the night but it's also good for lunch and dinner as well if you're looking for a quick bite to eat that's not a regular chain drive thru we all typically go to for easy and familiarity. -

This one my favorite Mexican restaurant in Des Moines!
Reasons include:
-Fresh and made to order, absolutely awesome food
-Open anytime you want it with a drive through
-Quick, convenient and consistently great food, great prices... everyone should have a taste of Lina's nothing but good tastes & good feels! -

Totally sucked. The carne asada was hard and tasteless. The salsa is weak. The chips are boring. Tortilla for my taco disintegrated when I picked it up.
If you're high at 3AM I guess it might work, but otherwise just stay away. Don't do it. -

I will find excuses to go to this place and order a burrito! My wife recently spent about 6 days in the hospital (everything is fine) and this is where I stopped whenever I wanted something quick and near the hospital. I have had every type of burrito they make and so far the breakfast burrito with churizo is what I want to eat every morning. Even for lunch if possible. The first time I ordered food from there I ordered 2 burritos because they were so cheap. Thought they would be small... WRONG. One is plenty. Enjoy this little place!
